The Pitcher
A pot with a story as good as its pour.
This pitcher marks co-founder John Vigelandâs return to making pots by hand and his first collaboration through the East Fork Workshop. Itâs a shape he and Alex first learned during their apprenticeships with Mark Hewitt, rooted in North Devon earthenware and Southeastern American jug traditions. You might use it the old wayâlugging cold spring water up from the creek or tucking away a bit of moonshineâor let it live on the mantle, catching light and holding court.
Why we love it:
- Handthrown by John Vigeland in his pasture-side studio north of Asheville
- A classic, sturdy shape for water, lemonade or late-summer sunflowers
- A form that connects old apprenticeships, new beginnings and what comes next
Details:
- Dimensions: 8.5â x 12.5â There will be variations in size. These are all handthrown, and variance is to be embraced.
- Weight: 3.75 lbs
- Holds 1.35 gallons comfortably, 1.5 to the brim
- Material: 100% Lead Free Stoneware
- Handthrown by John Vigeland
- Dishwasher safe
